FAQ

No, counseling and coaching are not therapy, as a counselor does not diagnose nor treat mental health disorders. Counseling and coaching are not substitutes for therapy however they can offer you an additional form of support.

There are no straightforward answers as to how many sessions you will need. The length of the counseling or coaching trajectory is tailored to you and what you are looking for from our work together. We will regularly review the number of sessions and your goals.

Insurance companies do not cover counseling and coaching services. An employer is often willing to invest in you as an employee. It lies in the interest of the organization to create a positive working environment where the mental health and well-being of the employees are championed.

Our sessions take place in the center of Rotterdam. If you live outside of the area, video call sessions are available from the comfort of your own home.

As agreed in our contract, if you need to change or cancel our session it is required to notify me a minimum of 24 hours in advance. If the change or cancellation is with less than 24 hours' notice, I will need to charge the full fee for the session.

As a member of associations for counselors and coaches, I abide by their codes of ethics and professional practice. Client confidentiality is an important aspect, with very strict rules. Our sessions are strictly confidential and I cannot share any information with third parties (e.g. your manager, your employer, company doctor) without your prior consent. I will explain in detail how this works and share a few specific exceptions prescribed by the law when I can break the confidentiality.

I offer sessions in English, Polish, and Dutch.
